SAFEEN Drydocks has announced the addition of a 230-metre floating dock at Zayed Port in Abu Dhabi, marking the establishment of the largest floating dock in the UAE. Expanded Capabilities
The new dock, which boasts a lifting capacity of 21,000 tonnes, is strategically located beside 1,000 metres of quayside. This development expands SAFEEN Drydocks’ ability to undertake a wider range of vessel repair projects and improves turnaround flexibility for customers, providing essential support for the rapidly growing maritime sector.
Captain Ammar Al Shaiba, CEO of the Maritime & Shipping Cluster at AD Ports Group, emphasized the importance of this expansion, stating that it represents a vital step in bolstering SAFEEN Drydocks’ capabilities.
