In the interim, it is important for all shipping companies and RPS agencies to continue adhering to existing guidelines for the Articles of Agreement/Form I, as detailed in the prior DGMA Circular No. 68, dated 13 October 2026. These regulations ensure a seamless transition to the new digital systems while maintaining compliance with current maritime laws.

Why It Matters

This initiative represents a significant step towards the modernization of the maritime industry’s recruitment practices in India. As digital transformation becomes more prevalent, the Enhanced RPSL Module is expected to improve response times and reduce administrative burdens on maritime operators. With the impending rollout of e-Migrate Consent, stakeholders should prepare for a shift in compliance requirements that could redefine crew placement logistics. Close attention will need to be paid to updates from the Directorate General of Maritime Administration as they refine the implementation timeline and additional functionalities of the new systems.
